As you may have seen, we recently reviewed our top 5 ‘Hot Topics in Science’ from 2015 and asked readers to vote for their favourite. Well, the results are in and I can now reveal that the winner is:

‘Averting the Antibiotics Apocalypse’

A run-away winner at that, romping home with a resounding 50% of the votes. Perhaps the story’s message of hope for a brighter future captured the festive mood of our readers! Or maybe it was just the catchy title!
