Based near Southampton, Alto Marketing is a fast-moving, full-service marketing communications agency.  We specialise in B2B communications in science and healthcare (not Pharmaceutical) and are looking to expand our scope.  We offer an exciting and friendly working environment in great surroundings, with plenty of parking!

The Role

A great opportunity for someone who’s hungry to learn about marketing communications!

You need to love all things digital and be flexible enough to do a number of different things, as this role does include general marketing support.

With training and development, this is a new role which will involve:

Digital marketing support:

  • E-marketing campaigns including: liaising with media and suppliers; developing and managing schedules; reporting
  • Creating/sending of emails and e-newsletters using email marketing software; reporting results
  • Updating websites (WordPress and other content management systems)
  • Support on AdWords campaigns, Google Analytics reporting and social media

PR support:

  • Press release distribution and uploading to Alto SM sites/Website
  • Reading magazines etc to record client coverage
  • Compiling client press coverage reports in Excel
  • Updating the media database
  • Maintain our prospect and client database

General support and admin:

  • Internet/desk research to support clients and for new business
  • Post – open and distribute; magazine logging-in
  • Checking answerphone and passing on any messages
  • Meeting and greeting clients, suppliers, interviewees etc.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Willingness to learn
  • A levels, or some futher qualification
  • IT literacy including Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel & Word (plus Adobe Acrobat).  You must love the digital world…the sort of person who’s online and learning all the time
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others in a team
  • Organised and methodical and able to prioritise your own workload within guidelines
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable
  • Flexible to take on a number of differnet support activities

Ideal:

  • Good communication skills – excellent telephone/email manner
  • Degree or similar qualification
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Numerate

Digital Marketing Communications Specialist

Permanent, Full time. £Competitive, dependent on experience

The role

A fantastic position for someone who loves all things digital , with at least 3 years’ exprience with PPC/Google Analytics (multiple companies).  Additional experience of email marketing and web content management systems is also required, so if you’ve got this and you want to be able to input into the development of our digital marketing offering…this is the position for you!

Strategy and analysis:

  • Advising clients and internal account teams on digital marketing strategy, objective and ROI
    • Includes PPC, SEO/SEM, email marketing etc
  • Monitoring/reviewing/reporting activity against objectives

Digitial communications:

Implementing campaigns and keeping up-to-date on new issues/changes in digital communications:

  • PPC campaigns, mainly Google AdWords/Analytics – increasing CTR and conversions, reducing bounce rate and CPC
  • Website/microsite improvements
  • Email marketing

Occasional support with:

  • Animation, video production and other marcomms activities
  • Some quoting (and invoicing)

Company marketing:

We’re looking for someone to develop our digital marketing offering and oversee our new business promotions including:

  • Website revamp – initially within current WordPress structure
  • Driving our e-marketing programme, ensuring we are regularly sending out great promotions according to the vision for new business
  • Writing blog posts on developments in digital marketing
  • Reinvigorate our prospect/client database – currently in ACT
  • Networking, proposal development and presentation to new business prospects and existing clients

Training:

Mentoring a Marketing Communications Trainee who will assist and support you (and other members of the team)

Requirments

Essential:

  • Strong interest in and knowledge of all things digital
  • Minimum 3 years digital marketing experience; Focused on ROI
  • Google AdWords certified or equivalent
  • Some HTML knowledge
  • Some agency background, or demonstrable success with a number of companies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good at working on multiple activities and delivering on time
  • Confident, enthusiastic, can-do attitude, with a flexible working approach

Ideal:

  • Degree and/or digital marketing qualification
  • Outstanding attention to detail

Account Manager

Permanent, Full time. £Competitive. Based near Southampton

Alto Marketing is fast-moving, full-service marketing communications agency. We specialise in B2B communications in science and healthcare and are looking to expand our scope. We offer an exciting and friendly working environment in great surroundings.

The role

A fantastic role for an experienced account manager and all-round marketeer who wants scope for personal development. Working with the Client Account Director and other colleagues, from the outset you will take on responsibility for varied marcomms and writing activities including:

Marketing strategy
Developing marketing communications proposals/presentations covering strategy and tactics, both for clients and new business prospects.

Account handling
Managing and prioritising concurrent projects in integrated content marketing programmes for a number of clients, ensuring activities are completed on time, on budget and on brief. Requires the ability to build excellent client and media relationships. Some travel (mostly UK).

Marcomms
Managing the creation of the following from the initial brief to completion:

  • Digital marketing campaigns (e-newsletters, AdWords, web content, online advertising)
  • Exhibition stands
  • Video production
  • Press advertising, advertorials/inserts
  • Direct mail
  • Marketing collateral
  • Websites/microsites

Content Marketing
Writing content for a broad range of communications including:

  • Case studies
  • Newsletters
  • Traditional PR: Articles and press releases
  • Sales material including brochures
  • Websites
  • Social media – mainly blogs/LinkedIn/Twitter

This might include proactively uncovering case studies, conducting interviews and then writing the piece. You must be able to understand the context and significance of quite technical subjects.

Media relations
Developing great relationships with our clients’ target media and pitching/placing articles

About you

Personal attributes:

  • Understanding and experience of a range of marketing activities (PR/content marketing, digital marketing, events, advertising, printed materials and social media)
  • Strong writing and communication/presentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills – prioritising & delivering multiple projects

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years agency experience
