Media – What’s new?
American Laboratory – Nov/Dec 2008 40th Anniversary issue . In response to changes in the laboratory products industry and the rise of Internet communications, International Scientific Communications, Inc. (ISC) has decided to merge its two publications that serve the analytical laboratory marketplace: American Laboratory and American Laboratory News. The journal that will result from this merger will be called American Laboratory. This will take effect in the Nov/Dec 40th anniversary issue. Visit American Laboratory for more information.
HSJ is now on Facebook! Become a fan and get the latest news, analysis and opinion on health service management and policy. You can also interact and network with other members of our Facebook page.
HES lookout for the first HES eZine, out in September.
Building Better Healthcare (BBH) is the new name for Hospital Development (HD), from the same publishers as HES. This will be an eZine, watch out for the first issue very soon.

Events
National Pathology Week is taking place from 3–9 November 2008. This will be the first time that a week has been set aside to promote the role of pathology in the UK. National Pathology Week is the initiative of the Royal College of Pathologists and aims to highlight pathology’s impact on the health of the population. The College aims to involve as many people as possible in the UK through a range of fun, free and exciting events. http://nationalpathologyweek.org/ .

The Future Delivery of Medicine: 2020 – So what will it be like to be sick in 2020? Who will treat you? How will they get paid?
